I remember buying a rubix cube once. Apparently I bought a defective one because I could only ever solve one side, which I was later told is supposed to be impossible because solving one side is supposed to solve the opposite side.

That is definitely not how it works, you can absolutely have one side solved with the opposite side not being solved. Most methods involve some form of layer by layer where you're solving the yellow face at the end after having solved white way before

I don't mind having the bonus panels on Patreon. I can't afford to support all the people I'd want to support on Patreon but I'm absolutely fine with waiting for an eventual bonus panel release down the road. You do what you gotta do.

Bad liars swap stickers Good liars open it up and move pieces Honest liars follow the instructions with the cube to solve it, so they technically DID solve it, but they can’t actually do it on their own. Not yet, until they do that a few dozen times to memorize the movements.

eh, stickers are to hard to replace convincingly. Just use a thin, flat object like a butter knife and pop a single corrner piece out. Then just manually reset all the pieces.

It's not really a secret, heck for a while the basic algorithms were printed in the instructions that came with the cube, you just had to read them instead of tossing the packaging. Granted the internet has better algorithms and patterns to solve them faster now but thats beside the point.
