Definitely agree to you all. But how do you deal with legal stuff? I am talking about privacy policies, cookie banners etc. These are all things that you can get a fine for if you don't do it properly.

If you don't deal with user data you don't need a privacy policy, and you only need a cookie banner if you use cookies that store non-essential information

In Germany, the IP address counts as user data. Most servers log IP addresses. That's why basically everybody needs a privacy policy except for private websites clearly meant for private use. Meaning strangers can't access websites. So, all websites that want German visitors need a privacy policy.

The IP address counts a PII everywhere the GDPR is in force. Many hosting providers do not log or store IP addresses by default and those that do, it's trivial to switch the logging off. Then you don't need a privacy policy or cookie banner of you don't store IP addresses

From the ones I've used (although far from an exhaustive list), Cloudflare, Azure App service (assuming you don't enable request logging), any static hosting without logging enabled ie. AWS S3, etc etc

I don't know how it is in the rest of the EU. But it should be similar. I am not complaining to you. ^^ I am rather complaining that websites aren't accessible for private people without much money or lawyers.
