Hello! We're The Long Now Foundation. When we were founded in 01996 it was in response to a great sense of acceleration — what our founders saw as a shortening attention span and shrinking time horizon. We saw the need for a counterbalance.

For the past quarter century, we've worked to foster long-term thinking through talks, publications, and audacious projects. We also have more than 12,000 members in 65 different countries. We're excited to be here on Bluesky and to foster long-term thinking together.
