I travelled to my parents by electric assist bicycle this Christmas. It was really fun and satisfactory practical! Give it a go! Cycling is fantastic for the body and the local community.

yeah especially if you put it next to the cost of owning a car even a nice e-bike doesn't seem like that much, and it can even still come out pretty well compared to transit
