The mid-range OpenCode Go models work well in combination with the Svelte plugin. Well enough for me to not shell out any money for the big models when working on side projects.

The real win is proving you do not need a frontier model for every repo. Framework-specific skills shrink the search space enough for a mid-range model to stay useful. That cost curve matters more than one benchmark win.

the config hassle it removes is mostly knowing which files matter. a framework plugin is really a shipped answer to what to read first, which is the expensive part of every agent run on an unfamiliar repo.
