I liked the Technology Connections argument that you can burn a gallon of gas just once, but a battery can be charged and discharged thousands of times.

A lot of the electricity produced in the US is through fuel consumption. Either ng or coal. They have to store fuel before burning it so they have more fuel to keep production. Some people could call these storage tanks.... batteries
