Something different, a #ChemEd #Chemistry #ChemSky intro to mass spectrometry. It just gives a high level overview, focusing on the spectrum, the peaks (molecular ion, isotope & fragment peaks) & the types of data (not how it is generated) & the 'fun' of different definitions for mass.

This is written by a user of mass spectrometers not a mass spectrometrist (there is a big difference). I'll happily correct errors. Soon I'll post a blog version with more detail/background & a rant about 'experts on the internet' & how they take the fun out of these summaries.
