"Significantly accelerated by AI" I have to wonder what that's supposed to mean. If they are sophisticated and know so much about Vercel's internals, why should they need AI?

If we go another layer down, they got hacked because that other company was allowing the personal and corporate device streams to cross. That it was Roblox raises additional questions ("why was an adult playing roblox?", "did a child have elevated privileges on a corp-connected device?").

Accelerated?! So it's like a traditional social engineering attack but way faster?

Data encrypted at rest only protects against physical breaches (good luck grabbing all the right drives) and low-level sector-by-sector reads. It doesn’t do jack shit if the API and keys are compromised. That’s a funny sentence to throw in there, lots of between the lines going on.
