At (pun not intended) first I wasn't going to use it because prices seemed really expensive but now it looks fine (unless I'm stupid and just checked tlds that are more expensive and then just checked tlds with the same or similar price). But why would I buy a domain with a company that's so young?

Our prices actually got more expensive (they haven't changed much) so you probably saw a TLD that was more expensive than others You don't need to buy a domain with a company that's so young, but bigger domain companies sell domains at a lower cost (sometimes losing money) 🧵

So they lose money on domains and then try to shove web hosting, email hosting, or other things at higher prices to try to recover the cost They also charge a low rate for the first year, then make renewals more expensive We do the opposite, showing renewals first, and being honest about prices

We charge a fair price, which is wholesale from registries + our costs We also have partner fees (we are not an accredited registrar yet, so we use someone else's registrar to power our service) So the price you see is the best we can offer, and yet we are still better than some registrars.

The TLDs I want have a good price so that's fine but my main problem is just knowing that marque is going to last. The main benefit is just other uis for DNS management (which isn't really possible if you move your DNS records elsewhere) so I'm not comfortable using marque over another provider.

I kinda want to use marque because there's some TLDs I want to use that porkbun doesn't offer. Its just that domains are important enough for me to want to the lowest risk possible.
