Cannot stress enough that this is a pitiful action by a weak, scared, pathetic group of insecure, wannabe authoritarians, and they should be mocked until the end of time for wanting to bring in the military over some people protesting them at a Home Depot.

Ok let’s mock—but not play down the seriousness of intense terror that many are rightfully feeling right now as they and their families are being rooted out by our government to toss out of the country or put in gulags. The art of mocking is a privilege at the moment.

It maybe be pitiful but that doesn’t make it any less dangerous. Ask people like myself who’ve personally seen this happen elsewhere. It goes downhill fast. It is truly important to continue to protest and to vote in the right candidates in every single local election. And to unite in resistance.

It's a test, seeing what they can get away with, making it "normal" , trying to stoke it sothey can declare martial law... 9nce they've got a model that works, they'll do it other blue states when there's any push back to the executive. USA constitution is toast.

Exactly. For all the people hand-wringing about LA, the reality is that the protestors looked strong and ICE/LAPD looked weak, even to the un-engaged. Hence the overreaction. Authoritarianism hinges on an image of overwhelming strength. The appearance of weakness shatters that illusion.

i'm pro-economy, but it's in the bible that any people consistently finding jobs at any location have gotta die, even if it resets the DOW into a dozen NFTs or even just a dozen eggs at this point. ..uh... Sir! Sir can you spare an egg for a true patriot genius?? (me)
