Seems bad that the head of the DOJ's "civil rights division" is cheering on Elon Musk using SLAPP suits to silence non-profit media orgs. But what do I know? But tell me again how MAGA is the "free speech" party.

I’ve just discovered her “personal” X feed and man, it is depressing to see the end of DOJ independence happen like this. There’s just no way it ever comes back, I worry.

She's been like this for a while. Through a convoluted set of circumstances, during Trump's first admin, I ended up at a luncheon seated at a table with her, FCC chair Ajit Pai, and some other nutters, and she spent the entire lunch telling Pai that he had to use his authority to bankrupt Google
