Um. You would think that with an administration this soaked in meme culture that they would... know what "become ungovernable" means and how it's used? But, of course, now that they're arresting people for posting that to FB, I imagine we'll be seeing a lot more of the phrase...

Is there some sort of effect that this will have? I feel like perhaps some sort of punchy name..hmm. Lemme think on it...

The expert testimony for the defense, featuring a professor of cultural studies, should be pretty amusing “[sigh] Look. You know, and I know, and *everyone* knows, that this meme slogan usually accompanies a TikTok video of an otter playing in a kiddie pool, set musically to Yakity Sax”

After all the posts from conservatives constantly fantasizing about and threatening civil war, “become ungovernable” is what gets indicted? Seems like they’re not really being consistent here tbh

The right has never felt any shame about claiming that offensive things it says are mere jokes and simultaneously demanding punishment of people who make jokes that they can claim offended them. "How dare you say that" and "toughen up, snowflake" alternate with zero irony.

Yep. Also known as “cry-bully” behavior. Constantly demanding everyone else live up to absurd standards while they hold themselves to none
