Lol. On this week's Wait Wait Don't Tell Me guest host Nagin Farsad misread the story about the guy who sent an image of a naked Shrek to an Ohio state senator. Many of the stories talked about how he sent a picture of "Shrek's penis" to the Senator, but Farsad said "a shark's penis."

(But also, as @kenwhite.bsky.social has pointed out repeatedly, (1) it's a drawing of a naked Shrek, not explicitly Shrek hog and (2) it's not a "picture" of Shrek's penis because that doesn't exist and you can't take a picture of it. It's a drawing/illustration.)

He’s not interested in posting here again, so you’ll need a Threads account to follow him now. Because Zuckerberg is less censorial, I guess.

I admit to being confused by your and Ken's denial of "picture". The term "picture" predates photography by centuries, it's not just something that can be taken, and I don't see anything in definitions that indicate it has to be a representation of a real object... and I find lots of other usage.

Ok, but if we're getting pedantic here (and it looks like we are) I'd say "picture" is a more general term than that. A child can draw a picture with a crayon.
