The other night it was warm so I had windows open as I went to bed and as I was drifting off to sleep I was wondering why it sounded like people were talking outside my house.... Finally figured it out. My neighbor somewhat famously does over the top Halloween decorations. And this year...

... that includes a coffin that has flashing lights on it. Inside the coffin is a speaker with someone yelling in a loop 24/7: "hey, let me out of here. Hey you. Help! Let me out of here. Hey, where are you going? Come back! Let me out of here!" That's what I heard (more muffled).

i am a borderline pacifist and genuinely chill dude - sometimes to a fault - but i feel like i would handle this coffin decoration with extreme prejudice... or at least respond in a passive but extremely aggressive way.

One of our neighbors has a very overdone lot of halloween decor in his yard, but the recordings are proximity activated. No passersby, no being welcomed to the gates of hell or whatever.
