That’s kinda the whole point of AtProto though, you’re not subscribing to another app, you’re subscribing to a different type of post from the same user that is the same AtProto identity!

So sure, the client is whatever the user is publishing the blog with, but it’s your AtProto identity, you pretty much already have an account!

I understand your point of view, but to me it also depends on the intention of the app creator. There's a difference between being able to and doing it. For instance, grain and leaflet are different social apps by the fact that they're independent from any other social media app based on atproto
