Rotate who plays the Slasher and drives the story forward. Improvise to build a legendary evil from the ground up. Play out scenes inspired by classic horror scenes as you imagine tense music and dark atmospheres.

Create a Victim, knowing that they are vulnerable. When they die, that's ok. It just means that it's your turn to take over as the Slasher. When it rotates again, you will create a new Victim and pick up where you left off.

The Victims play by drawing playing cards and reading the prompts that correspond. These prompts will put you in danger, and sometimes kill you. If you are lucky they will provide the Backstory, Weaknesses, and Slasher Aspects you will need if you want a chance to End the Nightmare.

Every playtest I ran went totally differently. We created some truly memorable Slasher villains. I was very pleased to see how this game brings out the creativity in folks. I hope you play it for your Halloween one-shot season, and let me know how it goes. I had a lot of fun making it.
