I grow Liberty & Jonagold apples, and they’re delicious. Red “Delicious” were bred to look pretty & fit in clamshell boxes that will never decompose.

people who dont like red delicious apples live really far from apple orchards and only get the spoiled ones if you get them fresh they're crispy and go well with slices of cheddar!

Distance from the orchard has pretty much nothing to do with the quality of a red delicious. People who live really close to apple orchards know that the really good apples are the varieties you’ll never see in a grocery store.
