ADL chief Jonathan Greenblatt tells Jake Tapper he regrets defending Musk’s Nazi-style salute in Jan.: “It’s not so much what he intended. It's the impact that it had. It's the way that white nationalists rejoiced at seeing him do this... I wish we'd called it out more clearly when it happened.”

"i wish we'd called it out more clearly when it happened" i don't know "It seems that @ elonmusk made an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a nazi salute" seems pretty clear to me

the thing about the nazi salute is u can argue it was done merely to troll the left or even to mock the criticism he was a nazi what i do not understand is the attempts to deny what it was completely like..it is not remotely anything u could mistake it for and yet

it reminds me of candidate trump mocking a disabled reporter on stage and his supporters immediately claiming he wasn't mocking him at all but rather trump always made those awkward movements when telling a story

yeah I remember that and the Trump steaks press conference as well as emperor’s clothes moments to me that I cannot believe did nothing
