My platelet donation happened with a caveat. It went wrong enough that I had a bag of ice taped to my arm for 30 minutes.
I am donating platelets today because (1) there is a platelet emergency in the Boston area and (2) my daughter wants the Hello Kitty plushie the Red Cross is giving away, and she can't donate because she's overseas.
