the second cutest witch movie?

first time seeing the 2011 prequel. sometimes pretty good, sometimes pretty bad. I had a better time with the sequel on playstation

bad in most ways but it has amazing goop effects. like ten straight minutes of goop at the end

family moves into haunted house, shot entirely from the POV of the ghost. interesting premise, okay movie. lucy liu is good in it

this one always reminded me of the shining in that a family is isolated in a hotel-sized mansion while the parent goes mad

the best werewolf movie (along with dog soldiers), not that there’s much competition

it’s like occult james bond. late 60s british film starring two bond villains. it even has a car chase/battle with bond style weapons except powered by black magic

basically a giallo version of the vanishing, I loved it

korean found footage. maybe the scariest movie I’ve ever seen lol I’m glad I take an adrenaline blocker

one of those over-the-top 80s hong kong movies (complimentary) with a lot of fun effects that remind me of House

love this one for a lot of reasons, including how much conversation happens through a typewriter

caturday themed italian horror double feature

early jess franco, maybe his best. noirish murder/detective story mixed with mad scientist sci fi and some james bond style deaths

(called strange behavior in most places) similar story to diabolical dr z. really well done. it has a surreal/uncanny layer that’s hard to describe, and a score by tangerine dream

from the director of troll 2. I heard was a so-bad-it’s-funny movie, like troll 2. I wasn’t disappointed

this release has a modern jazzy score that really fits the zany vibe

the most unique zombie comedy

woman-directed body horror. pretty well done and personal movie about self harm. the gore is kinda intense even for me

I don’t like rabid quite as much as shivers or the brood, but this era of cronenberg is a vibe. I like that they all take place in winter because of how the canadian funding cycles worked

canadian slasher starring samantha eggar (the brood). it starts with such a promising premise in the first 15 minutes but then it doesn’t really connect to the rest of the movie. I like the snowy winter setting tho

the brood + scanners soundtrack kinda weird they combined them onto one record, but these are my two favorite cronenbergs, so it’s nice
