you can also be cheap and get older pro level unifi APs (AC HD for example) on ebay

ebay has some cheaper ones, search for frontier moca FCA252 I got a pair for like $40, and they are working great to connect (at gbe speeds!) a unifi gateway to a unifi switch in the basement using an old cable run
