so much for the free market and free speech

Over 2,000 alumni from Vivek’s all-boys catholic high school in Cincinnati have signed and circulated a petition demanding that he pull the ad and issue a public apology for “ignoring the moral responsibilities” of his Jesuit education. I think he’s pretty cooked.

Last week, Governor Pritzker, myself, and Representative Cassidy took a very special tour of an accessory dwelling unit in Andersonville. Thank you to the homeowners and architects who took time to show us how their ADU meets their needs and fits seamlessly into the community!

Bad news about the new Acelas…the ventilation in them is no better than on the old NEC Regional rolling stock. If anything I actually wonder if it’s worse…CO2 levels seem only slightly better than on the Regionals, despite less crowding

Florida early voting update: Early in-person turnout among Republicans has fallen off a cliff. At R+0.4, the total early vote in the state is about as blue as 2018, 5 points higher than this point in 2022, and 10 points higher than in 2024. www.gelliottmorris.com/p/2026-early...

There are so many cars on the so-called “greenways” around it’s a fucking joke that the city tells cyclists it’s “low stress”

A year ago I got what I originally thought was a scam call. The caller claimed to be FBI, said that I had been indicted for a conspiracy, and told me to schedule a time to self surrender if I did not want to be arrested at my home. It was not a scam call, at least not in the manner I suspected.

Late October in NYC and I’m still seeing mosquitos every day…I can’t believe we have the technology to kill these fuckers and we’re letting them roam free.

I've been seeing a lot of leftist support for Jane Kim in California insurance commissioner race and, aside from the catastrophe they're trying to unleash on the state -- they're just fundamentally dishonest. Take all the worst instincts of DSA -- markets are always wrong, profits are always bad --

I wouldn't surprised at all if dems outperform the polling. Look at the vote recall from 2024, the pollsters are hedging hard right now.

I hope the lefties who fell for this scam have some honest introspection about it.

NEW: "Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s," per new House Judiciary Dem report. Report has new allegation that Trump raped a 24-year-old and then promised the victim a visa & NYU admission, demanding she stay quiet.

The primary motivating factor behind my housing advocacy is that I am raising a family and I want more housing options as we grow, that won't send me into the suburbs.

We should never, ever downsize a development next to a train station.

Elon Musk has spent more money on American elections in the last two years than George Soros has in his entire life.

Chicago has been making strides to accommodate more homes. But zoning changes could accelerate construction. We estimate that reforms legalizing small apartment buildings & enabling high densities near all transit stations could add ~10,000 additional units compared to baseline by 2041.

I am... skeptical regarding this claim.

Belgium has quickly reversed course from its planned phaseout of nuclear energy. A great move from the country that popularized surrealism!

Wow, this is the closest I’ve ever seen Germany come to the carbon intensity of the French grid. Must be windy

Cato just deemed Arizona the most “free” state in America. But that doesn’t look like freedom to me.

Slow polling day. Only news is the following teaser from Lakshya Jain of The Argument, which uses Verasight polling, in which he describes seeing the “bottom fall out” for Republicans. We will have to wait until Thursday for this one.

Pretty crazy that Beto came within 3 points of beating Cruz. I really think we can pull it off this time
