The cruelty is aimed at the children least able to absorb it. This is morally reprehensible. We’ll fight it in every way we can.

It's a huge invitation for economic whiplash. Seems like that would have been obvious to them, since it's really only their wallets they care about.

Or privatize it-make it for profit.

I worked at Head Start. That red tape is accountability for the grantees. It ensures that the $ are spent appropriately and best practices are used in the classrooms.

I hate these people.

Funny how "cutting red tape" usually means "harming marginalized people to benefit extremely wealthy people."

This regime is driven by hate and greed. As much as trump is to blame, so is Mike Johnson and his fellow Heritage Foundation lackey, Russell Vought. They claim to be devout Christians but their actions belie their empty words. They’re just hard core christofascist sadists.

The Trump administration hates standards of any kind. In their eyes, “standards” are simply rules they don’t want to follow 😏

bingo. but just the poor kids. their own kids, they want overseeing the rest of us, so their kids will get the vaccines, the quality early childhood education, the good nutrition, etc. they are ghouls, pure and simple, no human hearts in them at all, only hate and destruction and greed.

The program has years of research on its cost effectiveness and benefits to participants. Of course Trump wants to ruin it.
