i’m a little surprised that (as far as i know) there’s no seminal yaoi work based around amateur wrestling. is it because it seems like low-hanging fruit? i mean, it is. but also it’s such an unbelievably fucked environment. there’s meat on those bones!!

like yes ok its a sport where dudes basically put on bathing suits and manhandle each other. the nature of the thing is that dudes routinely physically (& sometimes sexually) violate one another during practice to vent their personal grievances. it’s gauche
