uhm... why?? Right now, that's exactly what I'm using: a rigctld instance on the remote transceiver (FT991A) and a local instance on SDR++ for reception. SDR++ receives a TCP stream from the Pluto+ located at the remote station via a small app I wrote to “transfer” only 100 kHz of bandwidth

I nearly forgot: the two rigctl endpoints are controlled by Gpredict. I'm working on some middleware to achieve the same thing using good old Predict
