For the feed generation, I'd assume they're just pulling posts like the Photography or Artists: Trending feeds do. These all get rendered in the app so blocks, and other rules apply. I haven't seen what "agentic social media" features they're working on but I'm assuming they'd just use pub data

Bluesky is more like a personal website host than a closed social media like Facebook or Twitter so any of the visibility flags they make are more of a suggestion. E.g. there are other clients that ignore blocks completely and don't respect the "logged out" flags.

Yeah no worries, I saw your other follow up. I reply to a lot of different people with various understandings of the site, so apologies if I over simplify things out of habit. tl;dr They can and should set the standards for opt-outs, but there's some conflicting messaging right now

This app has access to my profile, because my profile is public data. So if there was a lexicon addition "don't show my posts in agentic clients", there is no technical reason at all that the app couldn't see that flag, and respect it - given that it is not a 3rd-party app. Right?

At the lexicon level there's not a great mechanism for preventing access. I'm assuming they don't want to give users a false sense of security if their 1st party app respects these flags (in the appview, not lexicon), but no 3rd party does
