installed D on MacOS and got an immediate segmentation fault when running dmd 🫠

Are you on an ARM chip? I'm not 100% sure but I think dmd only runs on x86. You could try ldc2. That's the llvm backend. 'dub run --compiler=ldc' (I just assumed you are new to the language. If not, sorry) D is love
