I was biking my kids to school this morning at a new campus, and our way goes through an East Oakland park, which can sometimes feel a little bit spooky when it's vacant. So I'm really appreciating the Chinese cultural practice of morning Tai Chi.

Nothing says "Everything is alright; this city is awake and peacefully going about its business" like a group of 65-year-old ladies doing graceful motions in synchrony.
