I am indebted to all the people, activists, photographers and journalists who have been going to Broadview and documenting those protests. And also writing about the ICE actions that have left many in Chicago reeling. I cited many within the piece & I highly recommend all that additional coverage 💚

I went to the protest this morning at ICE facility in Broadview. Some photos if you wanna follow along. My guess is that at its height there were 300-400 people there, all protesting the inhumane treatment & illegal kidnapping of our neighbors. #broadview #iceprotest #abolishice #broadviewprotest

I went to the Broadview ICE detention center this afternoon/evening. The first 2 hours were pretty quiet. Several dozen protesters & occasionally some Fascism Enjoyers who shouted things but mostly lowkey. But then a violent Christofascist biker rolled up & that was not good. Everyone is OK. Thread:
