I have a lot of new followers, and I hear bluesky has a lot of new users! Welcome, friends! I belong to the Bluesky School of Thought that when we see someone being trash, we do the thing that will upset them most: we immediately block them and forget they ever existed. Trust me: they HATE IT.

On Bluesky, when you block someone it's NUCLEAR. If they quote-posted you, your post disappears from theirs. If they were in your replies, people can't see them anymore. On bluesky you have the power to literally render your enemies invisible and voiceless. Be the petty fucker who embraces it!

Other cool tricks on bluesky: If someone quotes your post with a take you don't like, you can select the options on that post and it "Detach Post" and your post vanishes from theirs. If you're tired of people quoting, you can go back and disable quotes on a post after the fact!

You can also limit replies after the fact. NOTE: if you limit replies in your top post of a thread, all the other posts in that thread will have their replies automatically limited in the same way. But if you have to disable quote posts on each post in the thread individually.

Adding alt text just so everyone can be included is reason enough, but if you need more: alt text helps you search your own posts to find things, and helps others find posts when they are searching! Speaking of searching, in the search bar type from:me plus a keyword & it'll search your posts!

Speaking of easy search, hashtags are also leveled up over here! When you click on a hashtag (like #BreeGuard) you can see all posts, posts by just that user, or mute it!

I am not fully in my right mind atm from an injury and being neurospicy so I keep forgetting alt text, but I need to remember to do this. Thank you for the instructions.

the ADHD would mean I *never* did it if I didn't get the reminder. I literally can't post without it, which is GOOD!
