Yeah but on the other hand gay marriage (which no Dem opposes at this point) and trans rights (iffier on the Dem side than gay marriage but still overall better than the Catholic Church)

So, like, probably not to the left of the Dems on net, but seems to be to the left of a lot of the Catholic Church and actually willing to use his power, which yeah looks pretty fucking appealing compared to no-fight Dems.

I mean it's less that I'm making a direct statement on every dem's policies but more that we should not be able to have a conversation about whether or not the pope might be to the left of our progressive party, WE ARE IN SORRY SHAPE!!!!
