I can't believe how visionary some Star Trek episodes were. "Booby Traps" and "Galaxy's Child", for example. In modern terms: Geordi needs someone to talk to for some problem, loads "skills" and a persona in the holodeck. It's an AI chatbot in 3D. Later, the real Leah finds his chat logs. Yikes

If they reboot TNG, which they shouldn't, but if they do, I would want Geordi to have a proper character arc, where he starts off as a lonely, geeky, socially awkward engineer and via Data, manages to overcome his social anxiety. In a way that makes both characters grow.
