Personally I always thought PC ports (or the trendy name "recomps") were kind of a slop concept even when they were human made. There's no real reason why the same game enhancements should get 100x the attention when implemented as one, but ignored when done as a romhack or emulator enhancements

I care more about running games on lower end hardware. Seems kind of important given the market right now. It may not matter as much for N64 games, but Sonic Unleashed is night-and-day on Steam Deck.
