The Met Office are letting us submit our own storm name suggestions: www.metoffice.gov.uk/forms/name-o... There's space for five names in the submission boxes. Let's go with: Exxon Mobil BP Shell Equinor Chevron At last, those companies will get the recognition they deserve. Pls retweet!

Good response Henry ✔️, but unlikely to be the MetOffice interpretation.

The point is not have the Met Office actually name storms are oil companies. The point is to create a fuss along the lines of Boaty McBoatface but with an actual point this time.

I think boats do have a point. Usually at the front. Often called the pointy end. They should have leaned in to Boaty. A celebration of all things silly. Maybe the world would be a better place, now, had Boaty set sail, not the D Attenborough. Government interference never leads to anything good.
