Storm Bastard 1 Bastard 2 Bastard 3 Bastard 4 Bastard 5

Mind needs an off ramp at times 😁

Done.

I’ll go with - ‘We’re doomed’ or ‘For f***s sake’ That’s F and W taken care of so any takers for the other 24?

Done - and my reason was to give them all some well-deserved recognition ;)

The British public never let's us down when it comes to selecting names

Duly completed. 🫡 A lot of comments from people who love to empty their bladders on November 5th...

Done!

Done. 🛢️⛈️

Done 👍

Geno(cide) Gaza TACO Starmer Filastin (Palestine)

Giving up our opportunity to have them named Braxtyn, Jaxtyn, Caihdyn, Pahydyn and Kayhlyn is a true sacrifice on behalf of the environment

Suspect these names will be unacceptable for legal reasons (but I'd LOVE to be wrong). Brilliant idea, though, maybe call them Storm Gas, Storm oil, Storm fracking etc?

Bloody rising sea levels......

Fatal victims of such storms will be able to announce, "This storm has deaded me!" and be reborn the following week.

Goon 🤣

Obviously won't get storms named after oil companies, but there is a massive list of options if they used oil field names.. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...

Something apocalyptic perhaps Zelus Mars Fames Mors

I want Storm Ena. I've had a load of mugs printed ready. A Storm Ena teacup.

She's not called Analogy, she's called Texaco

We could also suggest the names of the prominent climate deniers. Storm Lawson has a nice ring to it.

Done. Very happy to have my reason posted: 'To remind us who is responsible for the increasingly violent storms that mean households in vulnerable areas struggle to get insurance when they are repeatedly flooded'

Done and done. Named one Farage. Reeled myself in from the explanation of they're all arseholes

Done, good shout

Done

Excellent

I have done this and also added a few Fates, Furies and Harpies because you can submit more than once. The ancient Greeks knew a bit about inescapable retribution for human arrogance.

Done.

Here’s mine :-)

Done. Ineos and Aramco would be lovely names for life-ending, community-devastating weather but if we all vote for our personal Zohrans we end up with Cuomo

Ever since that weather balloon interrupted a B Team match, I was 'playing' in at my Bracknell school I have not had much time for the Met Office or any feeling in my right hand due to the severe ice burns as we dragged it to the touchline to be picked up later by Michael Fish.

Day

Done and done

bsky.app/profile/plat... Name them after those voting against this

Name them after politicians

Fagrage

Shell really should be "Royal Dutch Shell"

But the clear winner will be stormy mcstormface.

My suggestions: Stormy McStormface, The ex-wife, Thacher's Dead, Bawbag, Hunskelper.

Apathy Bush Colonialism Davos Exxon Finance Greed Kissenger Nixon Reagan Trump

Suggestions are great, but Met Office aren't obliged to use any of them, for numerous reasons.

Did it!

Excellent

SaudiAramco should be in there

The point is not have the Met Office actually name storms are oil companies. The point is to create a fuss along the lines of Boaty McBoatface but with an actual point this time.

I reasoned that as those companies insist they are doing everything to combat climate change they should welcome the opportunity to highlight that very issue by association.

We might be able to get away with 'Kjell'.

Done!

I agree so much 😉

Great idea! Done!

Done.

I went with: You Are A Dumb Cunt

Almost the same as mine

Damn. So close. I had Drax instead of Chevron #ClimateCrisis
