I'm, I was born in Arizona. It is thanks to Gloria that life as a female has had better opportunities than my mother & the women before her. In the late 70s, I was in 7th grade; we were the first girls who experienced title 9, giving a boost and proper funding to girls & women's sports.

In 8th grade, the girls & boys could choose between Home Economics or Wood Shop. I was the only girl in the entire 8th grade who chose woodshop. I grew up watching my Grandfather and he taught me wood craftsmanship. I loved woodshop! That year, I won the Industrial Arts Award for 8th grade!
