I. Just. Can’t. 😭 Acclaimed journalist, author, fierce political activist and feminist organizer Gloria Steinem has passed away. It’s time for someone with a little pull to have a conversation with God, because wtf?

Damn. The universe is rough lately. What a terrible loss - especially for women like me who grew up in the 60s/70s amazed by women like her who were fearless in the face of misogyny & sexism. She helped start and advance the fight that women who could be her great granddaughters are still fighting.

Gloria 💔 Dolly 💔 Our female icons Hoping Jane Fonda is taking good care of herself. 🙏. Just couldn’t take losing another one right now 😭🫣😶‍🌫️

The constant deaths of boomers will be the background of our lives now. Maybe folks will recognize their contributions and not blame them for all the ills in the world. Another sad day with the loss of a force for mighty change.

I made up a story about how #Dolly is writing the #music for the #Revolution & #Gloria is getting the ladies #organized ✊🏻 My generation (Gloria made feminists of us all back in late 60’s) will be volunteering ovr the next few yrs, some have already left… the men aren’t going to know what hit them

No…God is telling the rest of us to stop leaning on the trailblazers and get up! It’s past time for the rest of us to do the work! This lady was in her 90s. She can rest now. The rest of us need to get moving!

....or maybe there's an even better argument to be made now that God simply doesn't exist - or if he does, doesn't care. It's up to us. Every day, in every way. Don't look to others or fictional tales to save us. The work and task is ours and ours alone. 😎👍

❤️ Gloria Steinem, the pioneering feminist and co-founder of Ms. magazine who died on Wednesday, at age 92. A reporter observed that she didn’t look her age, Steinem remembered. “This is what 40 looks like,” she retorted. “We’ve been lying for so long, who would know?” @nytimes.com
