The abbreviation "SI" already has a different meaning to people who work in technical fields. It's the "Système international", aka the metric system; meters and joules instead of feet and pounds. Trump is an idiot and doesn't know this (but I'll bet that uncle who worked at MIT did).

Thinking AI is synthetic cognition, not artificial intelligence. We judge it by human standards, expecting feeling, wisdom, certainty, and relationship. Where there isn't any. Is a bird's flight the same as a person's walk? Both are movement, yet fundamentally different.

It does. Here is my (internal) concern. People with mental health issues, or that cannot process empathy in expected ways. (We need this for judgement.) AI is a very high-risk tool for them. But, I don't think thats on the radar today.

I know it's scary for some less educated Americans, but for me, SI is Système International d'unités or in English, International System of Units. You know, things like meters liters kilograms seconds or candelas… No wonder he wants to use it for something less scary like Skynet or the Matrix…

I really think this is a way for him to keep MAGAts from "revolting". It's another purity test that will cast you as a part of the "out group". Accept and join the big lie or be cast out of your community - he twists human nature to serve him because he's a narcissist.
