remember when Scottie Scheffler got arrested in Louisville before the PGA Championship for an incident that was strikingly similar to Renee Good and yet everyone was pretty much in agreement that the cop was an overzealous baby?

Folks, get acquainted with the terms "Officer Induced Jeopardy" and "Qualified Immunity." We are going to see a LOT of the latter claimed to justify the former. There will be collection/pollution of the crime scene stuff, then "vindicated, no need to investigate."

Actually, I thought the cop that busted scheffler acted correctly. I was angry that scheffler was let off with no charge. But also notable that the cop didn't shoot in that incident, and everything ended up fine.

don't get me wrong, lmpd are incompetent fools, but the sheer indignation of *some* louisville residents about a golf pro who never was going to have any consequences for his actions mere hours after a grandpa was killed will never not bug the fuck out of me.

If Scottie had been interfering with a law enforcement operation, intentionally putting himself in a dangerous situation, and disobeyed an order to exit his vehicle, and intentionally ran over another federal officer with his car, putting the officer’s life in danger-then your comparison might work

Scottie is a rich white guy, you’ll find that in America this group has the best outcomes from police encounters, speaking from experience having exercised my privilege throughout my life

Because the man who stopped Scotty did not feel his ego threatened by Scotty talking to him or driving near him. Jonathan Ross was enraged because Renee good did not cower before him. Renee good remained calm spoke calmly to him aswomen do when they’re trying to de-escalate asituation. #rossmanbaby
