How about some nedwalkies through Shanghai for some Sunday scrolling? 🧵

This was my second visit to The Magic City. I got a full weekend to explore & got to see many neighborhoods this time, including more of the north Bund & French & English Concessions (separated colonial neighborhoods) mixed into the modern & old city.

So much Art Deco, if you keep your eyes open. The city had a huge building boom in the 20s and 30s before Japan invaded & a lot survived, thankfully.

I usually shoot pictures to hide crowds, as you know. This is not really possible in Shanghai

It’s a remarkable place

If you can only visit one Chinese city in your life, for me it’s a coin toss between Beijing & Shanghai; they are both incredible destinations. I’ll share some further adventures from the other metropolis later this week.
