Last year my brother’s company tried to relocate from SoCal to FL, but after months the CEO abandoned the project because they couldn’t hire sufficient talent already located near the new headquarters or willing to move there for a job and existing employees said they’d quit instead of relocating.

The two billionaires who own the Texas government don’t want public schools. They believe in religious schools only. Nothing worst than Rick pricks who want to control the masses toward their beliefs.

Not surprised. I did a short thread about my experience there. I couldn’t wait to leave. #EduSky bsky.app/profile/dvnl...

Looking at the upcoming years for education in the US has me revisiting my experience in a Texas district that was overrun with Patriot Mobile PAC $ that changed it from a destination district (for staff & families) to a shell of its former self. 1/ #edusky #protectschools

Blue states would be smart to launch full-on recruitment campaigns in red states for teachers and doctors...relocation assistance, signing bonuses, child care. Whatever it takes. Let the red states find out what the 'FO' part of 'FAFO' means

I've lived in a blue state all my life. Small town from 1-18, small city 19 - 43. I've had far more friends leave for the south or California then come here from elsewhere. I'm just one data point, but population stats over time bear me out.

They don't.... Conservative policy doesn't work, and college educated people tend to understand this. That's why the red states remain poor as dirt. The GOP is desperate to destroy the school system so they can keep their voter base from escaping

Why would the crashing of education *not* be a prime GOP target/goal? The end-game is Verelendung, whether Leninist a la Bannon or the way of DOGE/Musk. You can't have Useful Idiots, Cravers & Grovelers by making them smart (IQ-challenged) & educated. OTOH, Musk moving his HQ's there problematic?
