Hey can we stop pretending that we can meet dozens and dozens of gigawatts of new energy demand with renewables on the timeline these tech bros want them? It's just not possible. And also these AI data centers have negative social benefit.

Here in southern Arizona alone we're looking at at ~3GW of new energy demand from planned data centers, more than the entire city of Tucson consumes. Our utility companies' energy mix is mostly fracked gas, and you're sadly mistaken if you think they're going to meet the new demand with renewables.
