❗️South Korea’s presidential office demanded an apology from Ukraine over disclosure of the transfer of North Korean POWs to Seoul, Reuters and AFP report. It accused Kyiv of violating a confidentiality agreement and later falsely denying that such an agreement existed. #Ukraine

If in any doubt whatsoever it is best to apologize unconditionally. South Koreans have a strong sense of honour and shame. I have watched some of their public inquiries and the pain of the wrongdoers is palpable. They also have an innate distrust of outsiders. Trust is hard to earn and easily lost.

North Korea bringing is military up to war time capability while South Korea's govt protests a public admission that North Korea already knew. Pres Lee Jae Myung needs to focus. #Ukraine #DPRK #ROK

Making whatever happened here public, is an interesting way to demand and maintain confidentiality. All I know is that those 2 NK POWs are lucky bastards in more ways than one.

A bit of a misstep from South Korea, I think. North Korea is learning from active military duty for Russia in attacking Ukraine and also producing weaponry. They should be helping Ukraine not compalining.

Tell them to fuck off, Ukraine. And when NK kicks off again and attacks the South the rest of the world should sit back and watch.

South Korea should apologize to Ukraine for their weak pathetic response to North Korean, and their massive support for Russia! This is ridiculous 🤬

Well I've got my reasons to trust SK over Ukraine, but it remains to be seen who is ultimately right here. One thing is clear, Ukraine will lose more than SK here

The current SK leadership, which isn't cynical about the war, and is definitely forward-thinking, in its wisdom prefers not to anger the piglet across the border. Which is why they wanted to keep the entire affair secret. But wanting something of someone doesn't mean that someone concedes.
