❗️Sweden will provide Ukraine with Gripen fighter jets “in the near future,” Zelensky says after meeting PM Ulf Kristersson. The aircraft will complement Ukraine’s F-16 fleet and help intercept Russia’s jet-powered Shahed drones. The two leaders also discussed strengthening Ukrainian air defenses.

Sadly my country bought the F-35s and not Gripen.

I don't suppose there's a viable alternative to Starlink and Starshield, but apparently that would be a good thing to have considering recent events.

ICEYE and Nokia have started developing their alternative, but it's of course still a few years out.

It is a bit of logistic nightmare - but so much better than no aircraft.

Everybody who produces any kind of weapon should line up to have them battlefield tested.

The Gripens and their Saab 340 AEW&C are desperately needed. Thank you so much Sweden!

Gripens and Meteors would let Ukraine shoot down the jets launching glide bombs from beyond the reach of its air defenses, and the aim is to stop those launches at the source. Air defense that only covers cities leaves the launch platforms untouched.
