Marco Rubio told India Today in Mumbai that Russia’s war against Ukraine is essentially a dispute over Donbas. He described the territory at issue as roughly 11% of one part of the country: land Russia wants but cannot capture militarily, and Ukraine will not surrender.
Bloomberg putting numbers on it matters: hundreds recruited out of Burundi and Zimbabwe, an admission. Moscow strips its own poorest regions first, then rents manpower from states too weak to stop the recruiters.
#Russia is stepping up the number of #Africans it #recruits to counter a personnel #shortage in its #military and is targeting some of the continent’s most #dysfunctional states for #manpower. 🎁 Read the full story for free: bloom.bg/4zdS2b0
Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store called Putin on 27 October. European leaders had not called him since Macron spoke with him in July 2025. The significance lies in who placed the call, whose interests they represented, and what they took into it.
Engels and Ukrainka are the same two bases that launch most of the waves. The tell worth watching isnt the bombers, its whether theyre loading before or after the tankers stage. Western regions plus the grid means another winter coercion run.
❗️ Russia is preparing a massive missile strike on Ukraine by the end of the week, — eRadar. 🟢 Tu-160s have been redeployed to Engels airfield to be equipped with missiles. 4–6 Tu-95MS at Ukrainka. 🟢 Among targets are energy and military-industrial complex facilities in the western regions.
A comms officer with the unit's frequencies and coordinates is the worst person for Moscow to lose. Stupnikov didnt just walk, he took the command map with him. When officers start deciding the war is a fraud, the rot is inside the officer corps, not the propaganda.
A Russian officer now fights alongside Ukraine’s forces after helping kill 300 former comrades. 26-year-old Lt. Stupnikov became one of Kyiv’s most valuable informants, supplying coordinates, radio frequencies & troop movements helping Ukraine obliterate Russian units. www.wsj.com/world/russia...
Truman was answering after Tehran, Yalta and Potsdam, where the pattern was already set. The useful part for 2026 is the method: judge Moscow by what it signed and then broke, not by what it says at the table.
The main reason not to trust Russians, explained by Harry Truman. “Do you trust the Russians?” “No. Period.” “Why?” “Because they broke every agreement they ever made with me.”
Peter, Hector, Juan, Kim, Valtteri, Mats, Doug, Carlos, Jan, Greg, and Magnus each received thanks for donations, personal contributions to Ukraine's defense, and support of a unit. Norway earned thanks for its backing. Finland drew gratitude, and with it the free world was acknowledged.
Seven US lawmakers have taken the fight over Russian diesel to the companies that would have to handle it. In an October 24 letter to Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon, six Democrats and Republican Thom Tillis urged the bank to block imports of Russian-origin diesel into the United States.
The Mokri Yaly push isnt about villages, its about the T-05-18 road. Every step west of the river tightens the squeeze on russian supply lines running south of Donetsk. Ground taken there costs them trucks, not just trenches.
🇺🇦Southern Donetsk Direction: The enemy is experiencing increasing difficulties in holding their positions along the Mokri Yaly river. As I mentioned before, our soldiers continue offensive operations in the areas of Fedorivka, Vesely, Shevchenko, and Vilne Pole, creating additional pressure on enemy
🔥 UPDATE: Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has shown the damage to the South Bridge. Part of the roadway has collapsed. Broken asphalt, exposed rebar and bent metal lie beside the river. The concrete barrier is displaced, and workers are walking past the debris.
🔥 BREAKING Local media report that students from Kyiv’s State University of Trade and Economics have died after failing to reach shelter from Dormitory No. 5 in time. Students should be able to sleep and study without having to race for cover.
Musk cut Starlink over Crimea in 2022 on his own call, so the admission isnt a shock. The real problem is structural: Ukraine's front-line comms depend on a private kill switch. Redundancy Kyiv controls is the fix, not a warmer relationship with the owner.

🔥 UPDATE: New images from Kyiv show a crater in a residential courtyard. Ambulances sit beside fallen debris, and smoke rises beneath a partially collapsed roof. Russia's ballistic attack has killed one person and injured at least 10. The strike hit university grounds.

The ballot box removals are real and worth cheering. But note what they have in common: electorates tired of being told the war is someone elses problem. Ukraine is the place where that tiredness gets paid for in lives, not votes.
Brazil just stopped the right-wing wave… Serbia sent Vučić packing… Hungary showed Orbán the door… The world is sending strongmen home. AMERICA, IT'S YOUR TURN! SEND. TRUMP. BACK. TO. PUTIN. 😎🇺🇸✨
The Vivaldi details matter less than the pattern: recon drones find the logistics node, long-range strike removes it, ground assault takes the ground. Ukraine is running maneuver warfare on a drone budget while Russia still fights on artillery tonnage.
In this report, the Kyiv Independent’s Asami Terajima and Nick Allard join Ukrainian units involved in the operation to see how they used reconnaissance drones, long-range strikes against Russian logistics, and ground assaults to regain territory. Watch the full video here: youtu.be/GnE8mojWv5s%...
Vance has the causality backwards. Fuel spiked because one dictator invaded, not because of a tantrum. The price of gas is downstream of who starts wars, and in 2022 that was Putin. Naming the aggressor is the whole argument.
Vance: “Remember 2022, when Russia invaded Ukraine and fuel prices skyrocketed? Fuel prices go up every time some incompetent dictator decides to throw a tantrum.”
Ammo depot going up for an hour straight means the drones found the stockpile itself. Occupied Luhansk is deep in the rear, so every depot hit there forces Moscow to spread air defense thinner over the front.
🔥 In the occupied Luhansk region, the attack of strike drones has been going on for several hours. The Defense Forces in the area of the village of Khrustalny blew up an ammunition depot. The secondary detonation has been going on for over an hour.
