Oh no, I’ve been picturing Murphy aged at least 40, watching the van drive away and listlessly not knowing what to do next

Am I the only one who thinks his parents sold him the royal mail story as a modern twist on the "Bob has gone to live on a farm..." euphemism???

Yeah! I think if most people told you that story you’d assume it was a childhood memory, but being as you can’t really imagine Murphy being able to perform even the most basic tasks, you fully believe he wouldn’t know how to remonstrate with a cat-stealing postie

Also I think when people who are older (two years older than me lol) say “we” I assume they mean their family where they’re the parent ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Bob, sat in the back of a Royal Mail van, feeling lost. Then on the radio, "When you're alone and life is making you lonely you can always go, Preston." A tender scene.
