honestly you guys confuse me, none of those seem like men’s names at all

well, because of the wreath, even though the wreaths themselves weren’t laurel wreaths, instead being a gilded simulacra of them. Also, “Laurel” is the anglicization, it would instead be “Laurea” or “Laurus” in reference to the actual branch itself
