How sad and tragic for them

Something something “what would Jesus do?”

The right, led by a fraud and felon who cares little for any human that doesn’t suck up to him and see him as their savior. Maybe they’ll see what they voted for in 7 days. He’d have to put human beings above his revenge and hate tour. It will be difficult for him.

Our hearts and prayers go out to them… wait… I’m not a Republican after a mass shooting…

I stayed with friends. It took 3 mo tha for me to relocate and fi d a job and get a place. I had 3 kids.

Leave the area. I did 30 years ago...sad. but unless you have shit tons.of money. You cant stay..you just cant.

Wealthy Trump Friends = $0. Taylor Swift = $10,000,000. Beyonce = $2,500,000. Along with other celebs like Paris Hilton, Jamie Lee Curtis ... Some wealthy people actually do care about others.

These are the people that Trump and Republicans in congress are refusing to help unless they're allowed to force California to change. There have never been strings attached to federal aid before and the Republican Party used to be all about states rights and stopping federal over reach.

Everyone, everywhere: pack a go bag. Update it frequently.

Forget donating to organizations. The ppl with big bucks should just go in here and hand out checks. $25k checks to each one of these folks will do more good than a $2.5M “donation” to some org. I certainly wish I had it to give 🥺

Beyond heartbreaking 💔

I have a story on point. In May 2017 my house burned. My family almost died. We recovered. But it was slow. I remember sitting in a rented car at 2:30AM having just left a drugstore, looking down at my finger nails and realizing I didn't have a nail clipper. It hurt. Help these people

This is heartbreaking.

Particularly hard for seniors. Elderly tend to hoard, to be thingy and limited by such inclinations. Imagine loneliness from being thingless.

Hoping they have friends/family who can help.

Wouldn’t it be nice if AARP or one of our rich billionaires stepped up w an offer for some of these people? Helping those who can fly to families get there. Helping those who need more care find senior care facilities who will take one or two or three.

The pain of losing a home and all its contents must be close to unbearable. Yet Trump is apparently considering cutting governmental aid to California. The guy is inhumane.

This is so sad. I can’t even begin to imagine what they are feeling.

To all you republicans that reside in California and has been affected by this fire, the convicted felon doesn't even have kind words for you let alone empathy. What he is handing out is a lot of cruelty. MAGA, how is that working out.

We can start here: all the seniors who voted democrat and for disaster programs can get government help. All the rest can wait patiently for the free market to replace all their belongings.

Thank you for your report on this underrepresented population in natural disasters. Their needs tend to be greater, but they tend to be overlooked.
