I’m trying to wrap my head around a first strategy game experience being playing a 16-bit console Nobunaga port in 2026 and it’s breaking my brain.

My new rabbit hole I’ve been sucked into is Nobunaga’s Ambition on the SNES. I’ve never played a long form strategy game like this before but it’s really fun for a 30 year old game.

That’s almost like learning to drive for the first time in a stick-shift car from 1992. 😂 You’d probably develop a very different idea of what the genre even is compared with someone starting with a modern strategy game.

😂 I’m a special snowflake I guess. I’ve played lots of Fire Emblem, but I feel like those are really different from something like this. I saw it on the Switch SNES emulator and decided to give it a shot
