“Training praise” is inaccurate. Per the article. Mamdani was polite & said that Trumps willingness to meet with him was a positive step but didn’t say much meaningful beyond that in “praise.” Trump was the one who heaped compliments on Mandani & recanted on past criticism as “just election talk”

At no point did he support Trump or ICE. He’s consistently said he would defend NYC from ICE and that’s exactly what he did at that meeting. The rest of the party should learn to manipulate Trump the way he did. The right has just been better at it until now. Trump doesn’t actually believe anything.
